Case Story: Hipower – mini mGen for AGV use

Background:

Hipower uses H3-5000 for its “auto guide vehicle”.  The mGen unit offers 24kW peak power, and 15kW continuous power. This is part of building up of a green infrastructure for the coming fleet of  EV-driven vehicles. Together with solar technology, methanol fuel cells will provide charging power sufficient to cover existing and future demand for fast charging at key locations such as convenience stores.

In many cases, the existing grid has not proven too expensive, inflexible, and not able to provide sufficient power for fast charging. Meanwhile, many charging stations are in highly densely populated areas. This request the solution to be compact, silent and without harmful emissions.

With Advent Technologies A/S’ H3-5000 fuel cell as a core, hiPower can offer the best of its class solution available for current and future needs of the infrastructure for EV-driven vehicles.

Considering the potential fleet of thousands of stations, the need for solution which can be remotely monitored is evident.

Success Criteria:

  • Instant power charge
  • low impact on surrounding environment: zero emission, no vibrations
  • Compact systems with low maintenance
  • Remote monitoring
  • Scalable systems
